What
A Woman Doesn't Wear
In
an earlier column, “Victims or Villains,” I talked
specifically about an incident that took place at a
transgender friendly restaurant & bar in Chelsea NY,
that due to some continued disrespectful action by a
handful of TG’s, was no longer transgender friendly.
When I sat down to write something for this month,
it dawned on me that respect comes in many different
forms, and sometimes, you can offend people without even
knowing it.

several orgs, such as Victory

Center for Transgender Equality.

To The Editor:
'Great article this week! I've always found humor to
be a fantastic defense, to maintain one's dignity,
yet, avoid violence. And the "your point
being?" comment was right on the money. It
doesn't leave them anywhere to go. And I think
you're right about most people who say that, are using
it as a declaration rather than an insult. Hugs -
